The Coin of the Realm refers to the beaver pelts being the "coin" that the economic system was based on during the North American fur trade. This video made by videographer, David Sams and narrated by author, Jack Nisbet in 2008, tells the history of Spokane House and the fur trade in the Inland Northwest.
