Near Kettle Falls in August 2007 - Mark Weadick and Robert Twyman discussed with George Sibley (center) the filming of a new documentary about fur trader, map maker, and explorer David Thompson.

Sibley is filming actual historical locations of David Thompson's presence across the United States and Canada for a one-hour documentary.

Sibley has been a filmmaker for over thirty years - writing, shooting, and editing films mainly on historical and environmental subjects. One of his recently completed films is Lewis and Clark and Us, which concerns American attitudes toward land and natural resources.

Some of the Friends of Spokane House members are assisting as consultants and participants in the David Thompson documentary.
